Local affordable housing provider, Wulvern has stepped in to support the Autism Networks Centre in Crewe after hearing a crucial Children in Need funding bid had been unsuccessful.
Wulvern has promised a package of support to help the Autism Networks continue its valuable work over the next three months whilst the charity awaits the outcome of other funding applications.
The Centre offers a social hub for autistic youngsters, carers and families as well as information, support and activities to help with social skills. Over 650 people access the Centre and benefit from its facilities every month.
Wulvern’s offer of support comes just weeks after the Centre celebrated a grand opening following a community funded revamp where Wulvern trades staff gave up their time and skills to carry out the refurbishments.
Wulvern’s Marketing and Partnerships Business Partner Ceris Esplen said: “We will be working with the Board of Trustees on the long term viability of the organisation and would strongly urge other businesses and organisations to step forward and help this worthy cause continue its vital work.”
Anyone who may be able to help with fundraising for the Centre should call Tony Sproston on 01270 580444.
