Our emergency alarm service provides a 24 hour emergency alarm service designed to respond to customer’s calls for assistance in an emergency. At the push of a button, an emergency call can be made to the control centre where a friendly trained operator will talk to the customer and ensure they get the most appropriate help either by contacting a relative or friend, contacting a doctor or alerting the emergency services where required.

In addition to the peace of mind the alarm service provides, active4age customers also benefit from dedicated support from their Mobile Support Officer or Sheltered Court Coordinator. These Officers create an individual support plan for every active4age customer, to identify possible areas where they could benefit from additional support to maximise their independence. They visit customers regularly and also monitor action taken as a result of an alarm call.

The active4age service is aimed at those over 55, but applications from younger people will be considered on an individual basis. The service is designed for those who are in need of the reassurance provided by a 24 hour emergency alarm link and support package. This might include those who are already in need of or receiving community care services due to physical or learning disability or mental ill health, age or illness.
